I was researching on the available RO purifiers in Kolkata market. Kind of zeroed down on Kent Supreme, Livpure Touch 2000 and Pureit Ultima.
Checked on Kent flow diagram and was bit concerned on how it maintains the TDS. Requested a call from their engineer after the demo person could not give a technical clarification on how exactly the TDS is controlled. The engineer indicated that their flow diagram is bit misleading. But still the TDS is maintained by regulating the inlet water TDS through UF filter(page 4 diagram in user manual(https://kent.co.in/RO-Water-Purifiers/Kent-Supreme). So a portion of input water doesnt pass through RO! Then I checked on Livpure and it also has similar kind of technology.
Pureit has a separate TDS maintenance cartridge. In my opinion, Pureit may be doing it in a better way. There are several publications which refer to Puerits gravity filter system, which could remove a test virus to a log of 6.53 which is way much better than other brand systems which could only remove till log 2.51(Eureka Forbes).
Bought the system from Capital Electronics in Kolkata. Installation was done in 36hrs post purchase as I was not home the next day after purchase. Installation was quick and neat. The service engineer removed the exit end of post carbon filter to drain out the initial bit of water till no charcoal particles were coming out. He did this as the particles may otherwise clog the dispenser system/ valve. After this the set started running and we tested the filtered water. TDS was about 30. Our supplied water TDS is 500 and has a bad taste. The filtered water was pretty good.
Overall I am fairly convinced on my selection. My relatives staying in the same locality uses Aquaguard and Pureit systems. They told that their post sale services are good. They also mentioned that Kent post sale services are not at per as experienced by their neighbours.
I will update my review as I get to experience the system more. Cant rate 5 stars now as I still have to check the system.

Update 27th July 2015:
I came across a report from WHO on consumption of de-mineralised water. It is important to know that RO filtration removes essential minerals in the water. TDS 50 - 150mg/liter of water should be maintained for consumption. Else serious health problems may come up within as early as three months of consumption of RO de-mineralised water.
Re-mineralisation of RO purified water is a must prior consumption. So please do keep that in mind while selecting your RO water purifer.
