Very disappointing customer service

I had bought a Pureit Advanced from a local Chennai dealer in October 2012. Owing to a prolonged stay outside, we had requested for the customer service for a cleanup of the unit when we moved into our home, clearly specifying our availability time. It was not heeded to. After followup there was no response. After 4th time of calling up (in 4 months) , all that we get is a "sorry for the inconvenience" but the Customer service department can only provide the contact number of the service engineer and then the customer has to directly contact them to arrange for an appointment.


And the customer care executive is apparently not authorized even to ask the service engineer to contact the customer directly. This is the response after following up for this complaint to be redressed on "High Priority".


Very Dismal, Disappointing Customer Service. Never think of buying a Pureit Purifier if you want to experience good and professional customer service. Product is good but the service is very poor.


It doesn’t make sense to buy products from HUL despite the brand image because they may have a million customers but having a poor customer service can be very disadvantageous for their brand image however good the product may be. While there are Kent and Aquaguard purifiers available in plenty people look upto HUL purifiers for their cost-effectiveness. But it cannot be certainly compromised by their very dismal quality of customer service.


I would prefer any other brand of water purifier despite their high costs but not Pureit. It is nothing but waste of time as they do not care even to respond by providing a query number for the complaint they receive. Such is the professionalism of their quality of service.
