I bought a Pureit 7 month back. It was working properly!!!!
One month back I have changed the battery kit as the previous one became red. For the last 25 days some tiny particles, like thousands small white eggs of ants, are floating on the water which is visible through the visible chamber. I have complained regarding this. After several complaints, on 31.8.10 a local serviceman from Berhampore came in my residence and just cleaned the pureit and charged Rs.50/- as service charge. The service man told that these whitish particles are nothing, these are just sediments. There is no harm to drink it. Even the company man from Kolkata conveys the same message over phone.
If we have to drink water, with full of visible sediment, then what is the use of a good filter???
In their manual, nowhere they are demanding that, some whitish sediment will flow on the water and we can drink it safely.
HLL is demanding that pure water- 1 crore prize- unclaimed—just all vocus advertisement.
The problem still exists. And now nobody is here to solve the problem. I am fed up with this. Even call centre is giving false excuses. I don’t know how I can get rid of this pureit. I shall wait for another week and then I shall move to customer grievance cell and will lodge a legal case against HLL.
Never never buy Pureit.
