Pure it Water Purifiers - fooling customers

I am a customer of HUL Pure It Marvella Slim water purifier, which I bought in Sept 2015 at about eleven thousand rupees from Lulu Mall, Cochin. While buying the purifier, the sales person had told me that this is the RO purifier with lowest maintenance cost and there is no Annual maintenance Charges for the Pure it.


After exactly 6 months of installation the system stopped working. I checked with the customer care and they informed me that the sediment filter has to be changed and they have given one free filter. The technician came next day and made the system operational.


Yesterday, the system again stopped working and the blue light was blinking. I contacted the customer care again today. They informed that I have to change the GKK1. I asked the executive on how much will be the cost. He informed me that I have to pay rupees 1850/- for the GKK1.


He also mentioned that next year I have to change GKK2 which is costing 3500/-. I asked him to connect to the supervisor and the supervisor explained the same to me. I asked a simple question to the supervisor, Every year I have to spend 1850 and every 2 years I have to spend 3500. This means that in 4 years I have to spend as much money I spent buying this product. and 5 years, I spend more money than for what I bought this product. The executive informed that this is the company policy.!


This is purely cheating the customer. This is as good as locking the customer with the product first and milk the customer continuously year after year.


I advise all those customers who wish to buy a RO purifier not to fall for such cheating.
