After I read all the very negative feed back, I felt like someone had to speak up for the fact that it is actually a great product : ). Of course, that’s only from my personal experience of pureit, so can only speak for myself.
We’ve had pureit for the past 5 years (at least), and have hardly had any problems.
The after-sales service in Chennai is really prompt and helpful. Though the price hike in the cost of the battery seems terrible, it is as nothing when compared to what people pay for water-cans...with water of doubtful purity.
We get clean water. Guaranteed.
So, its worth it. The trick is to call the customer helpline immediately whenever you have any problem, instead of fretting about it.
I don’t know about other cities, but in Chennai, the service is pretty prompt.
