We booked our rooms on 21st January for our stay in Puri Hotel from 2nd April to 4th April (3days) online by paisapay (and they take 5% extra as service charge of total amount for this), no credit/debit card option for online payment or not allowed in Hotel.. Like many other Hotel - this Puri Hotel also offering "Free Transportation from Railway Station to Hotel and Back" but accepting this offer gives us another bad experience because the bus already full and we done this journey just like many Kolkatan did in Local bus office time - STANDING with our baggage (including our kids).
They give us our two a/c rooms (1 four bedded and 1 double bedded) which on 2rd floor(annex building, no lift), both sea facing , Great view from balcony but old bed creating big sound every time), ,
Room service not bad but they took 10 hour for replacing faulty TV set,
We spend our days there and on 4th April evening when we ask them for our final bill - we received our biggest surprise - They Charge us more(each room Rs.200+S.C extra) then the actual rate they offer when we book our room(still their website showing actual rate). We contact them few times before our trip start (both by phone and email) but they never informed us before or after we arrive ,
Overall, we were not satisfied with this hotel.
