Well it was almost a month before that I visited PVR Bangalore at the Forum for the night show at 7.30. As I went straight from my office, I was carrying a laptop with me in a shoulder bag.The security at the entrance asked whether I was carrying a laptop and I replied yes. He immediately said that the laptops are not allowed inside and it has to be deposited in the locker room maintained by the mall.
The problem here is that the locker room gets closed by 9PM and if your shows ends after 9 then you gotto collect your laptop the next day at 10AM.Ppl, while I do understand that it might be a problem (!! or may be not !! wonder why) carrying a laptop inside, why is it that PVR doesn’t have this facility?. The locker storage comes for a price. So it makes all sense that if they feel something unsafe to be carried inside, they should provide us with a locker room.My show would have ended around 10 and I would have had to wait till the next day to collect my laptop.
It was my official laptop and I didnot want to take risk by keeping it till the next day at the locker room and cancelled my ticket. The security guys were so adamant and rude. seriously you dont expect this especially when you pay a hefty sum to watch the movie. Even if it would have been a personal laptop , I believe there would have been very less takers for depositing it in the locker room.The irony is that after a few days , one of my friends, who carried a laptop didnot declare it and he was allowed to watch the movie. If you are planning to watch a movie in PVR-Bangalore and just in case if you happen to carry a laptop, dont declare it or watch an early show.
