I dont find PVR(Mulund) to be such a great place. Its quite superficial in fact. The booking counters though many, have only a few functioning. So one has a wait of atleast 10 to 15 minutes. Add to this is the fact that most of the times these guys dont have change to return. Initially the security arrangements were bad. I normally carry a haversack with me. I was told to leave it outside(in the open) and that the security would not take any responsibility for it. To collect it I would have to exit the theatre and then re-enter to claim the bag! But I found out about this only later.
Needless to say, I had a scrap with the security guys who called their supervisor who was useless in the situation.
About F&B, yes, it is all overpriced. But the quality of the food is good. Popcorn was fresh. Samosas(my evergreen favourite) were fine and the sandwiches too ok. Nothing to write home about. I normally take the late night movie as I can catch which ever seat I want and also I can then avoid the crowds. Watching the movie is the peaceful with no babies screaming, cellphones ringing, riff raff fa rting(serious) or college students raising merry Cain. The odd necking college kids are okay. Or even the BPO couple grabbing some valuable lip time is fine. As long as they aint moaning or groaning.
Overall, PVR is expensive and given the choice I would prefer R-Adlabs at Mulund. The screen is smaller but atleast its got a Pop Tates on the same floor and also a CCD besides it. So catching a few pegs or even enjoying a frappe b4 the movie is convenient.
