Might be rare for a girl, but I am a fan of Pyaar Ka Punchnama. After watching the trailer of its sequel, I wasnt much impressed. Frankly I missedLiquid and Chaudhary. The essence of the original was lost. Yet, somehow I still decided to give this movie a try since the prequel was so successful.
The start or the intro scene didnt have the impact of its predecessor. Sharaabi song, not so good either. Then they met the girl, pretty much all of them at the same time. The movie picked up from there.
Kartik Aaryan was as good in this movie as the first one. Again, his monologue is the highlight of the movie. I liked Nushrat Bharucha better in her previous character, in this movie however shes put up a good act of a clingy girlfriend. BetweenChauka andThakur, Chauka was a better actor. His dialogue delivery pretty much resembled that of Divyendu Sharma akaLiquid. The other two actresses have also acted well. Ishita Sharma looks more appealing in this one.
Although not as good as the first part, this one is still worth a watch. While PKP 1 seemed more realistic, this one is a little too far fetched. Some situations are not relatable and at times, it feels the characters have been exaggerated. After a point, the rants seem irritating and as if theres too much being read between lines.
The end is agreeable that only a mothers love is selfless. And also, how selfish you are towards her.
