This review will not be complete without a comparison to the other dating websites that are available to single people in India:-
Date.com: Bottom of the barrel. Your preferences / selections are totally ignored. Your pick of the day could be a guy or a girl.~30%-50% profiles are fake*.
Match.com: Mostly legitimate profiles. Their members are rather poor in quality. Last ditch attempt before arrange marriage types.
~20% profiles are fake*.
FriendFinder.com:~50% of the female profiles on this website are fake*.
AdultFriendFinder.com: Around 80% of the female members on this website are fake*.
FAKE: Fake profiles are profiles created solely for the purpose of soliciting(sex workers, agents etc). The pictures on these are often picked from unrelated social networking websites. Needless to say, if you value your safety, stay away from these profiles. After a few days of browsing, you’ll be able to spot a fake profile pretty soon. Most of these are pretty much copy paste across dating sites. Emails to these may be returned with a phone number of a tout/agent.

QuackQuack.com: Caveat Emptor
Cannot recommend this service to anyone as they have not proven their worth.
PROs:
It seems that Like Match.com, ~20% profiles here are fake. It is likely to be on the higher side, but I can’t say with confidence as they do not provide any try before you buy feature.
Admin does seem to delete or blacklist or otherwise remove these from search results after a few days.
Website claims to be approved by the TimesOfIndia but does not list references.
CONs:
They do not provide you with any trial offers. I have repeatedly asked them for a 1-2 day trial period but the answer is always in the negative. Repeated responses will be returned by mildly rudish responses from the admin.
HARDLY ANY members on this website are paid members. This means that even if you take a subscription, and email a member, he or she will not be able to reply back to you.
What’s the point of taking a subscription?

One of the best things about Mouthshut is the way business owners respond to user reviews and feedback. Sometimes email upon email to the concerned authorities fails to elicit any response, but honest feedback posted here certainly does

Comparison to adultfriendfinder: I didn’t mean offence. Comparing only for the sake of comparing to give people a fair picture of the online dating scene/scheme. Your product does look better in comparison, as it is better in comparison.
Like I’ve said before, you are the better ones from the lot.

Trial Period: Funny, I was half expecting a snide remark.:)
900 Rs odd is the bill for food and drinks for two people at a decent restaurant; so at one level I do agree with you.
And although I cannot recollect your ever giving out any trial offers, I do understand your apprehensions about free trial subscriptions being misused by spammers.
I just feel it would give me more confidence if I had a paid trial offer. I’m not asking you for any freebies.
After all, I don’t need 3 months to figure out whether your product works or not, or whether your services are worth the money.
I just need 3 days or a week at the most:)
You can even bill me lump sum in the start, and refund me the remainder of the amount at the end of the trial period if I choose to pull out. Or bill me in installments.
Do think about this.

Do you really believe that how much money a man spends on a woman equates to how well he treats her?
Or that one or both the partners needs to spend a certain amount to deserve or be eligible for a date?
By extending your logic, patrons of bar dancers would be real gentlemen. But they are not.
Because it doesn’t work that way.

Isn’t this the paid ad that you put up? I am asking this because I don’t see the name of any correspondent against this’article’. How old is this?
The times does run a disclaimer that it does not vouch for any of the products or services advertised in it’s newspaper, and cannot be held party to any of the advertiser’s misdeeds.
- As you probably know, I have’Dekkoed’ your website for over a month now and rated you as slightly better than the herd.
But I wasn’t aware that free members can reply back to paid members for free. Perhaps you should list this in your FAQ. Or perhaps I don’t remember.
