Hey hiii.everyone over there.well today I am going to throw light on alcoholism because its one of the biggest problems that people are facing these days!well thank god that no one from my side drinks alcohol.and thats really good you know.well this information has been written after a lot of survey.so here it goes.
Mankind has not suffered any great calamity than brought about by the use of alcohol and drug addiction.if statistics were collected worldwide of all the patients in hospitals who, due to alcohol and drug abuse, are suffering from mental disorders, delirium tremens, nervous breakdowns, and ailments of the digestive tract, to which are added the statisticsof soaring crime rates, suicides, homicides, bankruptcies, sales of properties, and broken homes related to the consumption of alcohol and drugs, the number of such cases would be so staggering that, in comparison to it, all exhortation and preaching against drinking would seem too little for those people who are badly addicted to drinking.
Realizing the magnitude of alcoholism, many coutries have taken different steps or measures to control it.The United States as an example banned the consumption and selling of all forms of alcoholic beverages and other types in 1920.This was known as the Prohibition law. This law lasted from1920 to 1933 .However with the might of the FBI and the other law enforcement agencies, it resulted in a great failure and prehaps could never succeeded.
As a matter of fact the enactment of the National Prohibition Act was followed by widespread disregard of it.Illegal manufacturing, transportation and sale of alcoholic beverages became common.it provided criminals a very valuable source of business.the whole experiment resulted in a dismal failure.
