I have been using Quora from its initial days and it was really great then. It seemed to be an educational website at that time. As the days passed, more people started flushing in. Factual answers started turning into experiences and storytelling answers.
With the extreme strict Quora moderators, great writers started getting banned because of the trolls and fake accounts. Quora became a new version of Facebook and cliche answers started coming to my feed.
Quora team made the biggest mistake when the feature ofquestion details was removed. The second mistake was to influence too many advertisers and spammers.
When I go through my feed nowadays, I only see advertisements and links to other sources as if I am reading a news blog.
In short:
1] Service and support are great because of the quick response. Moderators reply most of the times.
2] Information and content of the contributors are extremely helpful. You will get amazing content from the experts, celebrities, and even Government authorities.
3] The site is user-friendly but the only problem arrives is because of the links, spams, and advertisements.
4] Loading time is fast. But the frequent Error 404 make is annoying.
I would recommend new users to join Quora. But if youre an old user, you might miss the old Quora.
