Well! " Ravan sucks", this is overall response of entire Indian audiences. Basically, even before releasing, Audience have no interest in this Mani Ratnam’s Venture. Why? I dont know. May be rustic setting promos.
Ok.Now all knows abt story without seeing it. Abhisek kidnapped Aishwariya. He is the godfather of one kabila like Ravan of Lanka where everyone has high respect abt him. Vikram’ AIshwariya’s husband Inspector, goes in serach of him with the help of Hunman.no .no.means Govind(He is in form of Hunman) So it is a modern Ramayan.
Ok. Now take a look at Mani’s films like Roza where Arvind Swami is kidnapped and Madhu try to free him. You can see similar here only difference is Female is kidnapped. Even see Yuva one again Mani’s favorite Kidnapper Abishek as Lallan kidnapped Vivek and other four guys.In Dil Se, Manisha becomes terrierst because She and her sister has been raped by soldied. Here Abhi becomes hard villain to polices and their family becuase Her sister has been raped by policemen.
There is nothing new in this film. The only best thing is shooting in chennai, photography, rainy shooting and Aishwariya’s beauty. She is a beautiful aunty. Overall Much Ado about Nothing. It is better to see Rajnaati twice than putting your money in this film.
