Plot Summary: Real simple. Girl gets kidnapped by bad guy - to avenge something the girl’s husband’s(a cop) team did to a girl close to the guy. Kidnapped girl gets impressed by bad guy and has to make a choice(in some sense). Everything else is just a backdrop.
Performances: Abhishek(Not at all impressive - weird mannerisms that look like he is trying real hard to make it look natural and good. Similar character like the one he did in Yuva(negative shades) . Dialogue delivery not up to the mark - he is probably better suited for cool roles(Dhoom, Bluffmaster) - surprising since I thought he did a good job in Yuva.
Ash: Disappointing - pretty babe who can’t act - period. This was a role made for Rani Mukherjee.
Vikram: Stone face - the guy has shown phenomenal skills in Tamil - he should stick to it. Bollywood ain’t for him.
Govinda - Wasted plus his intro is real stupid.
On Maniratnam: The concept and the effort has been great - but the end result is a disappointment.
Music by Rahman - Background score is odd at times and does not fit in. Seems like he composed the music while on jet-lag from his international stuff.
Postives: The locales and settings are beautiful. The cinematography is pretty cool too
