I went to watch this movie because like everyone else I was drawn to it by the fact that it had Shahrukh Khan as the main lead and it was under the Yash Chopra Banner- even the trailors were not bad! Today I got to see the movie and I was disappointed. Maybe because I ’expected’ more than this! Even the Five stars given by mouthshut members for this movie kept my expectations high. Now after watching this movie, I wonder if its the mental conditioning that a Sharukhan movie under Yash Chopra Banner is SUPPOSED to be a good movie and IS a good movie that makes us fail to see what is the fact.
Agreed that Sharukh Khan did a good job, agreed that the songs were good and agreed that the idea for the story was good however it was too long, sometimes a bit fake , without charm and almost at the verge of becoming a boring movie. Sharukh Khan did a good job. Anushka was ok. The rest of the cast were also OK.
The song with the surprise addition of Kajol, Bipasha, Preity, Rani and Lara did not get me smiling the way I had when I saw Rani and Kajol in Mahi Ve for Kal Ho Naa Ho.
Kajol looked ok. Bipasha was poker faced. Lara had her mouth opened all the time, Preity looked like a total fool and Rani was again ok.
If you are a die hard Shahrukh fan and Yash Chopra fan, you can spend the green bill on this movie else you wont be missing anything much in case you couldn’t watch it!
