When Shahrukh khan says.."ki main romance unke baapo se seekh ke aaya hoon" perhaps he was right...it was the portrayal of his character that made this average script/storyline to a watchable affair.
What a performance by king khan. He is perhaps the best when it comes to romance/emotions. & Even though his coming off age was peeping through his wrinkles..he managed to carry off the character of Raj with elan. Anushka sharma..the newbie, was a let down...poor acting skills...but a good dancer
Music..the USP of Yashraj Films was also a let down..except for Haule Haule & to an extent..Dance pe chance..None of the scores were melodious/hummable.
Vinay pathak did a bit overacting to be at par with shahrukh’s screen presence & persona..
On the whole a family entertainer...& with so many glimpses of "The Golden Temple"..its a sure shot hit in Punjab..
