My sincere request to all... Please do not admit your loved ones in this hospital.They are not doctors... They are MURDERERS. My father was 74 and was diagnosed with trilateral cardiac blockage. He was a person of very jovial nature and full of life and was much active than all his contemporary. We were told that bypass surgery is the only option and it would be performed by Dr. Lalit Kapoor and his team. Dr. Kapoor is very sweet tongued and assured that my father would get an additional 15 years upon this operation. All the pretests and checkups were done and we were told that this is a least risk operation .All the pre checks were normal. Pulmonologist Dr. Sourav Majhi gave us a green signal to proceed with the surgery. My father was non diabetic with normal BP. We were very optimistic with his words. My father was operated on 24th September. He gained his consicious on 25th September, after almost 19 hours of anesthesia. Dr. Kapoor and his team told us that the operation is successful and lungs function is OK. Thereafter they started making up all sorts of stories and nonsence. We were told that my father is suffering from ICU psychosis and that he is becoming very violent. Another theory they gave us was that my father has COPD(Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease). Being a layman, me and family fully trusted what the doctors were saying. If it was so serious, why were we not told to cure COPD prior to bypass surgery. He was then shifted to a different ward.On 27th we visited him during the visiting hours. He was not behaving in a normal manner. We constantly kept on asking the doctors if there is any major problem, and all the time they denied saying that ICU phychosis is very normal. On the day of discharge, 6th October we were only told to take care of infection as it might become very dangerous. To note, the discharge certificate was signed by some other doctor on behalf of Dr. Kapoor. We are not sure if this is at all possible. He was declared as stable. Within 48 hours of discharge, 8th October my father passed away. The reason given was massive cardiac arrest. Not for even once did Dr. Kapoor visited us or felt it necessary to inform us what had happened. The hospital and all its staff are playing a well scripted drama to be presented to the patients’ families.1. When all the pretests were normal, how come my father got a serious COPD. It clearly means that the hospital is trying to hide the actual facts from us.2. We were told he is suffering from ICU psychosis and would recover once he is with his family. Can a person die from psychosis?3. If COPD was so serious why was it not treated prior to bypass surgery. Moreover why were we not informed about it.4. Most importantly, why was he given a fit certificate on discharge. What was the hurry in discharging him without full recovery. Did the hospital already knew that he is not going to survive and just to not take a blame on themselves discharged him in a hurry.Neither hospital nor Dr Kapoor for once told us that there is 1% chance of ICU phycosis or COPD. We were kept in complete darkness. Later we came to know that phycosis means BRAIN FAILURE. Had they informed us about the post surgery complications, we would have given it a second thought.To the hospital everyone is a ’case’. But to us they are our everything. We have lost our everything just because of carelessness of some money mongers. Dr. Kapoor and his team are performing experiments on our loved ones.We are completely devastated. Dr. Kapoor should be penalized.
