" The Race for quality has no finish line".Similarly the race for richness and to earn should not have a finish line. When we are searching for something you have to take care to check even the smallest thing and go on clearing them out. That’s what the film hero does.
The film’s plot is too difficult to explain and the characters change partners as and when required. Luckily there is no Ayyar(those who watched Chandrakanta may be aware) involved but nothing less than that.
RACE is a movie that is to be viewed very lightly without taking tensions coming out of any logically normal solutions that you may find are required. I dont mean that the movie is illogical but the movie is so twisting and turning , you feel like you are on a Ghat road. In the movie anyone can do anything and who can do what is not easy to trace.
**Well confusing till this point, well the movie is like this as well.
** Performances : Performances are good by every actor in the movie. Although some have a very short role like Sameera Reddy and Anil Kapoor.
Lets see it character wise
1. **Ranbhir Singh - Saif Ali khan :-** is non forgiving strong person, the hero of the film. He maintains the strict regime and he is born to win. Plays his card intelligently enough and acts superbly corect There are some setbacks for him but he plays well and is the winner.
2.** Rajeev Singh : Akshaye khanna** : Lucky go happy kind of younger brother. Always trying to beat brother. Rajeev singh provides the little real comedy dialogues in the movie, unlike a comedians made to laugh dialogues these are real and normal, makes the cinema spicy.
3. **Sophia : Katrina Kaif** : She’s the Confidential Secretary to Ranbhir Singh and he believes her completely . An intelligent girl who has the capacity to act like a secretary. She’s a twister in the movie. Her role is well defined and more clear of all roles. Where she acts and where she is real is known.
4. **Sonia : Bipasha Basu** : The character has a character sketch made out for her. Bipasha Basu has played the role of postman excellently well as she has been doing in Ajnabee and other movies. Delight to watch. Girgit kee tarah rang badalne mein maahir, She has portrayed the character well.
5.** RD :****Anil Kapoor **: The policeman who eats lots of fruits provides the best of performances in the movie. He has played the role excellently superbly and we would like to see him play again and again. He is great in Cameos, his entrance makes the cinema hall active and its like a batsmen has come, he aint hit sixes and fours but suddenly the runrate has gone up drastically.
6. **Mini : Sameera Reddy: **Most Sober role in the movie is that of Mini, The character is well defined. Although the director has made her fool in the movie, she appears to be most right thinking person in the movie. She doesnt allow the advances of RD to disturb her and she is right thinking fool and takes care of herself very well. She has played the role well, but I thought she should have got an item number, and the directors should have used her more promisingly.
The other characters are just there, playing small roles.
Songs are not hummable and come and go but fit well in their position, we dont feel that this song was not required, as they are well fitted, but nothing much to write about the songs.
LIke Always Abbas Mastan have come with a nice thriller movie. They like to shoot all NRIs , so this is done in the movie as well, I think the kind of liberal thinking that is done in the movie cannot be done to **sidhe sadha bharath mein rahne wale durjan**, and every film should have some **Sajjan** in it as well.
The speed of the movie is nice and shot on good locales, Although the movie has not much to do with the horse racing, it has been taken to start somewhere.
