Radiooooo City!! 91 FM... these are the words that I dont mind hearing all day long. Coz, this is the best thing that happened to b’lore (after the recent showers).....
Well, since I am an avid listener, will list out the comments according to my daily listening schedule.
Morning from 9, the moment I reach office, I put on my headphones to listen to some neat hindi numbers from the not so distant past, along with the bantering of the two Rj’s who really make the show really lively, just as u would want ur morning to be....
Come 11, when u just feel a bit hungry, comes Sheetal with the Matinee show, which for me is the best show by far. The music played ranges from ’40s to the ’80s and is totally awesome. And the best part is that it is not just mindless playing of some popular songs, but each show has some theme, from common raga based songs, to dedication to a particular artist, to showcase on a film, to songs that suit the weather... just to name a few. In fact the best theme is the friday funtakshari, where, an online antakshari is played. Along with songs, the amount of trivia passed is phenomenal, and the best part is that people can page in the answers and also queries on songs/films and what not...
After a heavy lunch, Joncy @ 2 with request show makes sure that u cant sleep... he’s funny and blunt, but he also makes u laugh....
And finally, in the evenings comes Route 91, which also dreams up some snazzy themes for the show... and plays amazing music.
