On my way to office, I make it a point to listen Radio Mirchi-Delhi. I am a radio mirchi loyalist mainly because of the RJs. My friends tell me that other radio stations play better and more latest music. But that doesn’t change my mirchi loyalty.
Nitin, Pallavi (who has now quit as she got married to one of her fans), Dev, Anu and Anant have become part of our daily lives. Ulta pulta Nitin is doing a commendable job. Every morning he starts off a social discussion but holds the interest of listeners for 4 hours. Though 4 hours is long time but his skills hold on the listeners in so much interest that it hardly seems a long time.
The show offers Delhites to vote for 1 of the 3 options related to the social discussion. Of the voters 5 are randomly selected as winners. Even I have won lunch for 2 at China Garden once.
Mostly Nitin is bringing awareness. Anu presents a show for housewives with recipes and consultation. Dev brings a show on bollywood with the latest masala gossip of actors and actresses. Anant presents bumper 2 bumper to discuss just about anything.
The best about the bunch of radio mirchi RJs is that they seem to be communicating directly with us rather than a mike in front of them. There is high level of personalized and confident communication.
Long live radio mirchi & its hotter RJs. Its really hot!!!
