Rahul Dravid- a captain in making

RAHUL DRAVID a hope for India still alive. A great personality who keeps away from politics, scandals and a creditable model for younger generations. An old boy of St. Joseph’s Boys High School, Museum Road, Bangalore he is all what it takes to be a JOSEPHITE. He may not always score but he is always there for India putting in his all in what he does, as he puts his country and team ahead of himself.

Without any bias for friends such as what Sachin shows for his childhood friend Kambli who always makes a comeback on duckfeet Dravid is honest, sincere, hardworking and definitely captaincy material for a hard-up India.

It was in my first year in school that I met him as my house captain on Sports Day. Little was I to know that he would later become one of the world’s greatest cricketers who would be admired by all the aficionados of the game and complimented by the greatest cricketers of the world on his exquisite style and charm now lacking in the game. Whether the umpire’s decision is right or wrong he always walks on the finger coming up a lesson everyone learns from his old coach Mr. Keki B. Tarapore, the coach of BUCC, Bangalore.

It was for such traits and such achievements that he was awarded THE LIFE TIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD by the Old Boys Association of his old school.
