Raid it is a movie, which tell us that how much we are surrounded by corruption.
I think today corruption becomes a major issue of India.
I must say Corruption is prevailing at all level - economical, social, moral, spiritual etc.
That’s why Now, every second movie in India is based on Corruption.
And RAID is one of Them.
RAID, a good movies is it’s own reward.Basically it is based on Corruption, Black money like other movies for ex - Gabber is Back, Nayak, Gangajal, etc.
This is inspired by the true events of Income tax raid in India in 1981.
There are two main character,
1 . Ajay devgan who palyed a role of earnestly honest IT officer ( Amay Patnaik) which is recently transferred and he is very sincere in his act. He fight the odds in honour to stay true to his country and mother land.
- Shaurabh shukla who played a role of corrupted MLA ( Rameshwar singh) . His killer look and dialogue delivery lend able support in building his villanious image.
In this movies shows,
Amay gathers a group of officers to conduct and early morning raid on Rameshwar singh’s house.The house is locked now and no one allowed to enter or exits till IT officers complete their investigations.
Here is a informer who insisted to Amay that he would find black money in Rameshwar’s house so Amay is admant to find hidden money.
The group turns the house upside down in order to find black money but nothing get for long time.And then while raid is still on, Amay get clues by his informer.
While the officers go in the house hoping to complete the raid in day in a day’s time, it spills over day making it a longest IT raid in history of the country as the group grappels to calculate the cash, jewellery and other valuable items are unearthed from all sort of place within the house.
This film was based on real life incident, a time when media is not so aggresive with its coverage and no mobile phones existed.
Shaurabh shukla play antagonistic who is smug and aware of his power. While the ITO is intense the crook is vocal and variation of pitch in his dialogue is superb.
Here Ileans D’ cruz played a role of Amay patnaik’s wife., who is controlled, middle-class, and less galmoured and did her role very well.
Here one unique role also done by an old lady who is a mother of Rameshwar singh., and her role make movie little bit funny.
It is delightful to watch her.
I loved the Song and its quality. background music are amazing.
Everything is ok.
The film is more than good.
I must say go and watch it hurry.
