Rameshwar Tauji(Saurav shukla) is a corrupt politician in Lucknow. Amay Patnaik( Ajay Devgan) is a honest tax officer who is transferred to Lucknow. It is his 49th transfer in 7th year. On a telephonic tip off, Amay Patnaik raids on the house of Rameshwar singh. From here, the story revolves around Amay and Tauji. Rameshwar tells Amay to give him a freedom for sometime and he will show him how powerful political lobby he has behind him. Tauji, goes from one minister to another . He even visits chief mister and the then prime minister Indira gandhi. Indira gandhi in turn, supports Amay Patnaik, saying INDIA needs more officers like him who go against all big wig politicians with vested interest in corruption.
Ajay devgan and Saurav Shukla are in their top notch form. Director Rajkumar Gupta, delivers a hit this time.Music is ordinary. Ileana looks innocent and adorable
