Rain forest at Adyar is worth a visit - only for its ambience which is quite a different experience. The food quality is poor. The chinese items are quite ok, but the indian dishes are horrible. We tried few Briyanis and they were horrible. If you try those briyani varieties uts will be waste of money and waste of food! They serve big quantity but just that they werent eatable. But I found the starters to be good. So best thing to do is go, have some starters, enjoy the ambience(especially the kids would love it) and go somwhere else for your main course!
Service was ok. Though the ambience is good.rather "different" good be the right word.the restaurant looks quite cramped. There is not enough place to move around and you might feel you are sitting right in the middle of too many people. When I went, there was guy moving around in Chimpanzee costume to scare people! It was nice thinking and many enjoyed(but ofcourse kids started yelling!).
