3 hours of gap-shap

I read a few reviews of this movie on the website.... and after considering the overall rating the movie has ( 4 stars ); I thought this movie is worth spending 150 bugs and 3 hours.

But .... after watching the movie, I feel it would have been much better doing some gapshap myself rather than watching the 3 boring hours gapshap between Ash and Ajay!!!

The movie starts with Ajay coming to calcutta to borrow some money from his old college friends in order to start a new busines. Ajay used to work in a jute mill which has now been locked out. Meanwhile he decides to meet his old flame Ash who was married to some rich fellow 6 yrs ago. Incidently the guy to whom Ash married was a fraud and is now bankrupt.

So within 30 minutes from the start of the movie Ajay reaches Ash’s home and then starts the boring part. Both Ajay and Ash try to hide their conditions and both pretend as if they are having great time. As a result they end up talking about :-

»Ghar ke Naukar

»Ash’s Husband who has gone to Japan

»Ash’s fear that she wont be able to use the loo in the plane, hence she wont be able to travel abroad

»Ajay’s production company

»Ajay’s would be wife and his new house

»Ajay’s Secy

...

... .

..

..

Well the list is endless.

But in short none of the things exhist and these thing cover alomst 4/5th of the movie. Well on their part they were trying very hard to hide their conditions but as a result they only end up to irriate and frustate the audiences.

The only good thing about the movie and which came as a much needed relief was Anu Kappor’s cameo as the owner of Ash’s house. He meets Ajay at Ash’s house when she had gone to get some luch for Ajay. He reveals all the truth about Ash.

I wont reveal the plot further. I think the plot is a good one, its more suited for a short film or a stage drama. 3 hours is too long a time to keep the audience interested. Cast performance is good overall.
