Recently, I took a Raj Travels bus to and fro from Mumbai to Goa.
It was the most harrowing experiences of our life. The staff at the ticket counter was highly uncourteous and rude. The bus when it left from Mumbai on 16th Jul was 2 hours late and as a result it arrived 2 hours later in Goa. This was acceptable, given the fact that it was raining.
On the way back, the bus was scheduled to leave at 2000 hours. A certain supervisor and employee of Raj Travels named Anand Naik delayed the bus by claiming that there were passengers from Madgaon en-route to board the bus at Panaji. All this when the bus in fact had left from Madgaon.
The passengers united, fought with this Anand Naik and finally forced the bus to leave at 2130 hours. On the ghats, the bus met with an accident. We expected at least a prompt pickup in a situation like this. The accident took place at 0430 hours in the morning. The passengers were literally left without food and shelter until 1230 hours at noon in the hot sun. We had to literally call up and shout at Mr. Lalit Sheth and his son Mr. Akash Sheth before the departure of the bus and after the bus with an accident to send an alternate means of transport.
In addition, the bus was leaking water from the A/c. The A/c was broken and did not work above a certain temperature. The hotels that the bus stopped at were absolutely horrible. In fact, no passengers even dared to dine or eat there. It should be noted
I can only say one thing: If you want to travel using Raj Travels, do so at your own risk. Its better to take the ST bus*
