I was traveling from goa to delhi on my return trip of my honeymoon. I have travelled in Shatabdi a lot of times on bhopal-delhi route and I love it. But this is my first experience with rajdhani. Whrn the train arrived in goa I say the entire train is painted in AIRTEL. I feel the power of advertisements. Enter the train and you are welcomed by a 1990s luxury train. No sign of comfort and upgradation. Space for luggage is vey less so it took me about 20 minutes to settle down. No one to assist. The moment I see through the window I somehow can’t see something. the visibility is very minimal. The reason is the AIRTEL ad. painted on the windows too. What the SHI*. $YOu have to traver about 22 hrs without proper view. Is this the right advertisement strategy. From outside the train looks good but the inside is a real dissapointment.
The food is again a dissapointment. I was expecting it to deliver the food according to its reputation. But I have to resort to packet of chips and biscuits. Though we got coffee which is good if compared to the other trains. Altogether the fooding exp. is also not good enough.
There is no attendant in the compartment. Sometimes the train got so chilled that I have to search for the attendant to adjust the AC but I cant find one at any time. And I am talking about first AC compartment. Again a huge disappointment.
At the end of the journey we are late for about 5-6 hrs from scheduled time with no apparent reasons for the delay. I have heard that the Rajdhanis are given way on any other train but I didn’t experience that.
Overall the experience is very bad and I have pledged to not to use Rajdhani from now.
