No doubt, a dream bike

First saw this bike in the early eightees in Delhi. Saw it again after a Mad Max movie and fell in love. Could not imagine to ever purchase...it was so expensive. Once in a regular job saved for nearly five years and with some loan purchased this great bike. Drove all over north India and underook several long distance journeys. Loved the muscle power, twin exhaust vroom and its spontenaous pickup.

Power and pickup. Best looks of its times and sheer pleasure to ride.

High initial cost clubbed with expensive repair/parts and non-availability of trained mechanics was a let down. My 1987 model bike particularly had a persistant problem of rust in the tank and overflowing of both carbs. Frequent Battery charging was also required.

Driving was a dream which I still cherish. It was one machine which has no replacement. Even now after 11 years since I comitted the greatest blunder of my life by giving it away-- I still miss it. I have had a 1943 Triumph and a 1958 Matchless (both 350’s) but this was one bike which was the greatest of them all.

Only true bike lovers need buy this bike. It is expensive to maintain and needs a mature handler.
