YAMAHA RD-350.... well I dont own one, but just writing my heart out. its sound and vibrations at idle give that adrenalin, and its totally different when the high torque pulls you off the seat at abt 140 kmph and even more adrenalin when u see things flying by.... its like a proper commuter bike at those speeds but the diff is u can do 140 with a pedestrian scaring soundtrack which is just the best. These beauties were brought into india by yamaha india, and india got the 350 B model. the 350 came with high torque engines from 1983 to 84, then came the low-torque rds made in india not as good as a jap rd.. between 1983 and 84 the jap high-torque rds came with high-torque exhausts. these exhausts have a more open kind of exits unlike the low torque exhausts conical ending. apart from 350s in india, u.s. and japan and many other countries had rd 400s, 500s... the rd 500 does an unbelievable 180(for a 1970 bike)completely stock!!! rd 500s keeps up with an R-1 till about roughly 100 k on the meter... and the usal two stroke adrenalin which is very unique and limited to RDs itself(cmmon no matter how much u port and modify a shogun, shaolin ull still be sittin on it like a drag bike, whereas the rd comfortably accomadates huge butts.
In speed runs highly modded Rds like babban khans set times of 14 secs.. regulary.
