I am half hearted!

INTRODUCTION

I have always liked movies on super natural happenings. Rakht meaning ’’blood’’ seemed to be good, but seems to have some effect of Rudraksh and Krishna Kottage in it even if this was an entirely different effort. There are lots of things I would have done if I knew the future.

But here we are forced to see what Bipasha Basu is doing when she has visions about whats going to happen next, and ofcourse she will do everything to change the damn future if its going to be something too much bad for her.....thats for sure.....

THE MOVIE

I have to say that the movie has got a huge amount of stars - may be even more than the movie could take. The songs didn’t impress me even if they were better than nothing. There were one or two good ones and the others seemed to be for giving the viewers a break while seeing the movie - the one with Sanjay Dutt and Amrita Arora seemed to be specially made for a chance for Amrita to expose which has become quite natural now.

Still, they were not too disappointing. The plot is good except for some weak points and some unnecesary characters to increase the length of the film and make it more complicated (There are more people to doubt for the murder - thats how they twist the minds of the poor viewers?).

THE PLOT

Drishti (Bipasha Basu) is a widow, with a child. She works as a fortune teller using the cards. She got the extra ordinary power to see things of the future much earlier (Will she help me in my exams? Well, its me who predict my future then). Taniya (Payal Rohatgi) is her best friend.

Mohit (Sunil Shetty) is another friend of her who owns a garage. Rahul (Sanjay Dutt) is the principal of the school in which Drishti’s son studies and seems to be somewhat attracted to her. But he is about to be married to Natasha (Amrita Arora) who has got a record number of affairs - she can break more records.

Everything just becomes worse when Ria (Neha Dhupia) comes to Drishti and asks her for help, as her husband Sunny (Dino Morea) is always too cruel to her, and have relations with other girls, but gets the answer that she should leave him which she is not able to do.

Meanwhile, Sunny threatens Drishti as he thought that she is the one who is setting up his wife against him. But the things got more and more bad as Natasha is killed. The killer is supposed to be Sunny as there is witness for him beating her and putting her in his car and driving away and Drishti too gives some evidence against him.

Is Sunny the real killer? If not, who is the bloody murderer? What more will Drishti see in her vision? What will be the state of Rahul? Will Sunny take revenge on Drishti? Is there anything to do for Taniya and Mohit? What in the hell is happening here? Will you get scared? It’s in the movie, not in the review.....

PERFORMANCE

Bipasha Basu seemed to have got an entirely different role. I never thought that I will ever see her as a mother in the movies, atleast for some years. She got a character with some scope after a long time. She seems to have did her best for the success of the movie. Sanjay Dutt looked somewhat promising, but a bit too old for that role. His role seemed a bit dull, but looked good in the climax.

I never liked Dino Morea, but he was better - atleast doesn’t look like a Dinosaur! Sunil Shetty gave an adjustable performance, but the character just looked ridiculous and irritating with some dialogues which I found very difficult to follow. Abhishek Bachan got the smallest role in the film and as he just came and went, there is hardly anything I can say about him, but whatever he did was good.

Amrita Arora had a cute smile on her face, but seemed to have a tendency to remove her clothes - congratulations, Amrita, you win the award for the least clothes in this movie, as there is no competition for you! (Just joking, atleast you got a beautiful face).

Neha Dhupia doesn’t have anything to do except complaining to the fortune teller and Payal Rohatgi doesn’t have too much to do too. Himanshu Mallik and Rajat Bedi are in the movie, and have done some good jobs, better than I expected.

CONCLUSION

I found it a good movie as all the earlier horror movies were too much ridiculous. But I will not forget to say one thing - see at your own risk - if you find the plot interesting and you do love these types of stories.

But don’t keep too much expectations - according to my weather forecasting, hopes may crash due high level storming of characters and the wind blowing quickly in the weak areas of the movie. So be careful, but the movie will be a good experience for atleast some of you.....
