After many days’ research, I went for Ram coolers, Nagpur. Due to the product scarcity, unfortunately it’s not available in any sites other than their official site now. Here’s my experience:

Location: Bangalore
Using since 3 weeks now(my first cooler!)
Pros: 1) Very nice Cooling effect. It chills a room of 10x12 sq.ft in few minutes. I felt like if it had a cool reducing option! I had to use a blanket in this summer, it’s damn cool, man!
2) Reason: It has three wide open sides with coolent of natural woodchips(other brands use synthetic honey comb material, both sides are closed and only back side is open which reduces cooling efficiency)
3) 53 L water tank: is big enough to hold water enough for one night(better to change /refill daily to avoid foul smell due to used water). Another good practice to avoid bad smell is to put off the water pipe few mins before switching off the fan, so the mesh will get dried.
Cons: 1) Bulky in size: can’t say it as -ve as the requirement needs this size
2) Not that classy looks like other brands. It is GI(Galvanised Iron), not plastic, so bit heavy. But I feel look is secondary to efficiently)
3) Draining water is bit difficult, had to use a pipe filled with water to do this.
Overall, it’s the Cooler worth for money. I’ve booked one more(another model Cool 123), will review after using it. Thanks for reading this.
