The movie is not very thriller or not very mass entertained.Typical Anurag Kashyap thriller. I saw the trailer and I enjoyed that but after a good trailer, I expected something more and this movie doesn’t give that thrill.
I am not telling, the movie was a dumb or was a garbage but I am telling the plot is almost outstanding and the director had one known good actor and a very talented young actor(not very known and I swear you all will like him).
But the I missed the desired thrill. Mr. Kashyap is a good director and I like his Gang’s of Wasseypur, Ugly but this movie was not up to the mark. Imagine there is a psychopath and an addicted cop around together, how exciting that story would! Let talk about technical aspects: Direction - Ruined the movie. Almost poor. Needed concrete punch and detail. The director also failed to maintain the continuity. Music - As you expect. Background score was good. Acting - Nawaz was good but sometimes I feel he couldn’t overcome his monotonous attitude as a psychopath but otherwise he is good. Vicky Kaushal came to a complete surprise. Very good and sometimes I felt, he was scarier than Nawaz! Hats off bro! Screenplay - Not up the mark, Needed continuity and more detail which are the must. I felt some incident illogic and unnecessary about this movie. Editing - Good but could have been better. After all, I will tell you that this is above average movie and don’t expect anything charismatic. But if you want a surprise that young guy will give you properly.
