Not as Good

Compared to serials today, I agree that Anand Sagar’s Ramayan surpasses them, but farther than Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayan? I don’t think so. Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayan makes me feel like I am actually watching the Ramayan. Anand Sagar’s Ramayan’s actors did good, but I have to say that Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayan was absolutely divine.

When I think of Sita, I now always picture the actress Deepika, and same for Arun Govil. Anand Sagar’s Ramayan may have better technology, but it twisted the story in some parts, and made it more dramatic. That’s not what the Ramayan is supposed to be. It is supposed to be a holy and divine story. For example, many of the dances in the Anand Sagar’s Ramayan are quite modern and has techno beats to it. What’s with the funky dances in Sita’s room? For heavens sake, she’s supposed to be an incarnation of Goddess Lakshmi!

I have to say, I think in Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayan, all the actors did outstanding, especially Sunil Lahri as Laxmana. He did his anger acting extremely well.

Some good things about Anand Sagar’s Ramayan are that the costumes are very pretty and the technology sometimes does look pretty nice. Debina Bonerjee was fine as Sita, but I still like Deepika’s acting better.

To conclude this article, the good thing about Anand Sagar’s Ramayan is that it’s funny and quite entertaining, but in my opinion, it just doesn’t give off the air of a Ramayan better than the earlier one. I’m sorry if I offended anyone.
