I have had a lot of experience in listening to different types of music, and when I use to try something new out..it would either disgust me or rather surprise me with its really good music! Albums I like should be melodious, fun, cool and peppy sort of! That is just me. Otherwise I don’t know what I would do without music! There are albums which may result your kind of music…and bring you to huge satisfaction, well that is if you are a music buff! Those albums…are which catch your attention within seconds and give a whole new impression to your day…
A Bit About The Album In General
Well this year….it seems there is something new in music albums. A.R Rehman and Prasoon Joshi created something new for our new Generation, which has been awaiting us all for such a long time! A.R Rehman has brought himself not far from making albums from the film Mangal Pandey and now he brought himself up to Rang De Basanti. Though truly the album is something very new to this year. You will get the feeling that yes..this is something totally fresh and new…though that also you will also know that A.R Rehman would be the person to make such an album!

Rang De Basanti - Daler Mahendi & Chitra
---------------------------
I had thought this song would be just something really ordinary and obvious like other albums, though it turned out to be something really good when I listened to it first time. This song has full energy in it! Full of spirit as well. The beat gives sort of a Punjabi style of music and the way all the men shout out in the background! It feels so new and fresh! Daler Mahendi did really well in the song and brought the song upto his best with such a deep voice! Chitra also did really well and her voice gave in some new feelings to the song rather than the song only having a male singing. Though I think she could have expressed her voice a bit more to bring up the energy of the song. So her voice was sort of low. Though I think it was good choice in picking her. Though the Mohe Rang De Basanti shout out thingi with Daler was really good! I found Prasoon’s lyrics really good and was really impressed with them. A really good song to listen to…. Rating: 9/10
Thori si dhool meri….
Dharti ki meri watan ki..
Mohe Rang De Basanti…Mohe Rang De Basanti…

Roobaroo - Naresh Iyer & A.R Rehman
-------------------
The guitar in the starting of this song really caught my attention as this instrument is my favorite and I just enjoy listening to the music from this instrument as well! So this song is another song I really liked. It’s a nice song to just listen to when you are relaxed and have nothing to do coz it will surely make cheer you up with it’s really cool https://lyrics. A.R Rehman sang the song good as well and it was nice of him to participate in singing the song as well! Naresh Iyer did a totally awesome job on the song…he seemed almost relaxed while singing it! A favorite line of mine from the album would have to be the erm….”Aae Saala” part coz it’s really funny and also really cool…naya zamana ka ishtyle naa… :P :P. Rating: 9/10
Dhuan chatta…khula gagan mera…
Nayi dagar, naya safar mera…
Jo ban sake tu humsafar mera..Nazar mila zara…

Paathshala - Naresh Iyer & Mohammad Aslam
---------------------
A very new name indeed for a song like this…it seems unique and so is the whole song! It does give the feeling of an Rehman song as well. By the beat in the background and the music. It’s a cool and peppy song for all the teenager but once again you adults can join in as well…it would be nice having you in the club :D. The beep in the middle of the song makes the song sound so cool as well. It’s like a song which friends would listen to and dancing all around! It’s an overall cool song..especially for you teenagers out there…
Part 2 – {I’m A Rebel} – Blaaze, Aslam & Naresh Iyer
This song was even better with Blaaze in it because after he sang the Rap for Bunty Aur Babli I knew he would come out once again with something really cool and different. He did a really good job. Aslam and Naresh Iyer where in the song as well and also did a really good job!
The lyrics are really cool and fun to listen to…made me smile a lot! :D
Talli hoke girne se…samjhi humne gravity..
Ishq ka practical kiya…tab aye humko clarity..
Apni to Paathshala…masti ki paathshala… Really fun lyrics naa….

Ik Onkaar - Harshdeep Kaur
---------------------
This song isn’t that much of a fast track but it is a good song though. I sort of decent song to the start of the album. Though not really my type of song, it doesn’t really have an sense of beat. Maybe just a little bit of music in the background and then some wordings throughout the whole song. May not be a good hit with you teenagers out there though give it a try! I found it really useful and after a while I sort of started to get the wordings to it just could not spell them out properly. :S Rating: 10/10

Luka Chuppi - Lata Mangeshkar & A.R Rehman
-----------------------
This song brought in something nice and decent, with some very melodious and light music in the background. Lata Mangeshkar and A.R Rehman sang the well with all effert the were given and their voices quite suited the song. It was nice seeing Lata Ji in another very nice song. The song does not really have that much energy into it and is a very slow track which you can just enjoy the lyrics and music while relaxing. The tabla and the guitar went in well together and the two instruments suite in well with Lata’s and Rehmans voices. Rating: 8/10

Lalkaar - Aamir Khan
-----------------------
Aamir Khan went at his best to make this well I wouldn’t say song but sort of like a little speech with a little bit of music in it. The lyrics are something that really impressed me because the wordings are just so good and make total sense. Prasoon really found some worth listening to lyrics and Aamir sang it well in a way and I sort of enjoyed it. Though the most important would have to be the lyrics! They totally rock!!! Rating: 9/10
Sarfaroshi ki tammanna ab humare dil mein hai…
Zindagi to apni mehmaan maut ki mehfil mein hai…
Khoon se khelenge holi gar watan mushkil mein hai…
-------------------
Khoon Chala - Mohit Chauhan
-------------------
This song is very slow but the wordings are the things that I loved the most about the song. Mohit Chauhan sang the song very decently and the song is sung very freely and it is just a light song to listen to. The piano and the violin was the main instruments which I found quite suitable for the song, hence the way the music puts all its effert into the lyrics! Chauhan has a very emphasized voice once you hear him out a few times in the song thus his voice really suites him and the song. Rating: 7/10
