Mahatma Gandhi Road, Matheran

I went here last. Please see below pros & cons before you head out here:

Pros:

1. Just opposite to Matheran station.

2. A one minute walk from Market.

3. Very good food. The maharaj who looks after the kitchen was excellent in terms of treating us. He made us feel at home. Food is homely. To mention few items we had were pav bhaji, sev puri, pastas, 3 types of sabji, rice, dudhi ka halwa, ice cream, etc.

4. Good staff

5. Pocket friendly. We stayed here for 2 nights. We paid some 5500 for one room for 2 including food.

Cons:

1. Utensils used for serving foods like plates, spoons, etc are very cheap quality.

2. Rooms are not that good. Bedsheets were stinking.
