Rangoon is based in timeline during the WWII when India was not independent from the British Rule. The movie revolves around the Julia ( Kangana Ranaut) who falls in love with a British Indian army soldier Nawab Malik ( Shahid Kapoor) when the Japanese army attacks and they flee to the nearby jungle and are lost to be found when they are in love. Rustom ( Saif Ali Khan) who is the love of Julia notices few changes in her and sees love for Nawab in her eyes. Nawab is a spy of the Subhash Chandra Bose led Indian National Army ( INA) and is undercover in the British Indian Army. He is in a mission to steal a sword which the Britishers took from a Maharaja to help INA financially. The soundtracks in the movie are so so not very soothing. With the historic back ground the movie is a big failure and bores you to the core almost all the time.
