''GUIDELINES''

A professional writer’s work is called write-up, 75 percent of reviews posted on MS aren’t merely reviews they are write-ups, which have made this site beyond common man’s reach.  Anyways, I am not jotting down to discuss any of those matters and so coming down straight to the topic.

The first and the foremost thing I look for in a write-up or a review(whatever you like to call) is whether its genuine or biased because I am a person who mostly likes to view both the sides of a coin.

Now for,

**HR**

The review should be a genuine one in which all the necessary information is included and if possible including personal experience, every such review grabs ‘HR’.  If some information is missed then I look out for how the review is presented, if its well presented I give ‘HR’.

**R**

Reviews with lack of some necessary information or if possible hasn’t mentioned personal experience, such a review gets ‘R’.

**SR**

All those reviews where the writer is moving around the track rather than being on track, lack of information and biased reviews fetch ‘SR’.  Though always not possible because sometimes it depends upon mood(to speak it exactly its not mood, it depends upon my heart, if my heart says ‘yes’ that the writer would take the comment in a true sense, I give my comment otherwise I leave it as it is), I do see to it that I make a comment.

**NR**

Reviews which are an attack on anyone’s dignity, written to create controversies and gaining cheap publicity grabs ‘NR’.

**FURTHER**

I don’t always feel necessary to understand writer’s viewpoint, I rate on the basis of agreement.  For instance, “Govinda” being included in Best Five Actors of Bollywood or “Sharon Stone” being included in Best Five Actresses of Hollywood, here, I am forced to dilute rating.

Biased reviews according to me are those reviews where negative shades are at its fullest.  There is always an exception by rule and so one is required to apply his/her instincts, for instance, my review on ‘Bank of Punjab’ is full of negatives( that’s my personal experience) but I have had made it a point to mention the popular trend on the top of the review.

Mistake in revealing correct information once or twice is forgiven.  But, series of mistakes forces me to dilute ratings and as I read – rate & comment reviews member – wise I can easily make it out.

I do compromise with my standards.  How?  I will explain.  A writer gave a low rating on one of my reviews and so when that writer wrote on same topic recommending it( while my own experience and popular trend is totally opposite of that), I gave higher rating so that it doesn’t sound like revenge rating but I do see to it that I comment on such reviews.

NOTE:-

As I am confused about reviews being placed in wrong category I haven’t discussed it.  When my thoughts would be clear, I would update this review.

It seems that I have covered almost all aspects and nothing seems to be pending, still, if any aspect is pending, I would update this review whenever I would come across those aspects.
