RA-'MAO'-YAN

I hope this film was dedicated to Manirathnam’s son! I assume that he is a member of CPI-M.

Was it the sheer timing or just a coincidence that this film was released on the eve of what happened in West-Bengal and Jharkand ?

Anyways!....Let me not get into politics.

Remix of an epic is not new to Mani. He had already tried his luck with Mahabaratha..ie "Thalapathy" which turned out to be a very average grocer amidst the hype(I mean Having rajinikanth).

Ramayan- one of the greatest epics of hinduism. Raavan! what avillain he was! Ram, Seetha, lakshman, Soorpanaka, hanuman, Kumbakarnan. Great characters. Raavanan is supposed to be the greatest villain of all. Since this film was released a day before the review is being written, let me not reveal the plot.

Positives:1. Great Camera! I loved the camera angles and pristine locations. Superb!

2. ARR rocks. I liked most of the songs.3. Prabhu was decent. I liked the role that he played.

Negatives:1. I suppose this film was intended to North Indian audience. The dialogue was half baked. Sorry Suhasini ! 2. Every one knows RAMAYAN. 3. Karthik was yester year’s Chocolate boy.....For those who have seen him in such roles, especially in Mani’s film, this role was unimpressive. He was used as a comedian.

Nothing great-s1. Vikram dominates the screen. Come on! He is a national award winner. We know he can act ...2. Prithviraj was honest and there was nothing gr8 about this movie that I would like to share. Better than all the commercial movies. But it is right to expect more from MANI.
