I hate Corolla now, thanks to Ravindu

I had bought my Corolla in September, 2005. On my way home, after collecting the vehicle started my trouble. It started with noise from the Toyota casstte player. Within a week, it was noises galore, from all around the car. I had to bring my car all the way to their place everytime to get it repaired. I would’ve visited them atleast 6 times over the last one year. That means, I was without my car once in 2 months for about 2 days each. But that never ensured that the problem was solved. Instead they added to the woes. While working on the cassette player, they damaged the leather upholstery too, and the problem came back after a few days from repair. Along with that there were lot of other noises coming from various part of the car. All the problems I posed, still remains. 1) Cassette players, 2) from either sides of the door 3) suspension 4) foul smell coming from the A/c 5) Stiff steering 6) peculiar sound during cold start. Frankly speaking I doubt if that car was abused or refurbished before I bought it. Finally understanding that these people are not capable of resoving my issues, I am living with it for last one year. Once in a while their customer support folks calls me up for feedback collection. I think they expected some goodie goodie feedback and I always gave them a piece of my mind. Though over the phone they say they’ll work on it and come back, but they never came back. If I remember the names right, Shilpa, Vaishali, Vijay Mahantesh, Guruprasad and even their previous CS manager(he is no longer with Ravindu now) Mr. Srinivas had assured me he’ll sort it out. These people think call us expecting good feeback and bask in glory hearing that. The basic problem with them is they treat every car like a Qualis and every customer like a Qualis driver. They commit something, do something else and say they did something else. Their service and diagnostic skills are pathetic. They dont seem to understand the value of our time. They think all are Qualis taxi drivers. Pathetic. Finally it was time for my 1st service. I can vouch that all the 6 complaints I gave them reappeared after a week’s time. I bought the car expecting it to be smooth as a silk. Toyota would pay and regret for the mistake that they didn’t ensure skilled service personnels to work on their cars. They would’ve ensured the proper infrastructure. But as the famous sentence go - Fools with tools are still fools!
