I find this magazine as an expensive buy but still whenever I get my hands on it, I make it a point to read it completely. It has different topics related to general health, food habits of different countries and many more.
My favorite piece of content has always been Laughter, the best medicine. I remember during my schooldays, my grand uncle would insist upon reading the complete book thoroughly but I would only read the laughter part and look at the pictures of different contents. Thankfully, he never questioned me about what all I have read, otherwise I wouldve got a good thrashing.
Nowadays, I make sure I read Word Power. I am also trying to instill a habit in my daughter to read this magazine from time to time. These days, with the advent of mobile technology and the numerous apps that these devices can load in them, it has become tough for us parents to instill a habit of reading books and magazines.
The downside of Readers Digest is only one, they promote spam lottery prizes which sometimes irritates me.
