Its the bestest magazine that you could start reading. To begin with it is just so charmingly concise - but then, that does not take away one bit from its most engrossing capabilities!!
Like many others, my introduction to Readers Digest is a happenstance of which lifelong commitments are made of. Its not one of those with glossy pictures of coquettish madames or shining automobiles - but still, you get hooked - like fish to the pin pronged worm!!
Apart from the content - about which reams has been said and will be continuing in any case - its the meagre advertising presence which also is heartening. This has been changing over the past few years (for the cluttered worse Im afraid). Just hope that with the changing of hands ( The India Today group shall now oversee the India operations) the romance does not fade.
For those of you whove snuggled with an RD on a rainy afternoon or on a long boring train journry somewhere - all this would make sense. Ah well !! even to those who stack old RDs in their Loo closets ;) But for those still uninitiated - grab a copy right NOW!!! Because, like the Hindi movie director sez : Isme action hai, emotion hai, drama hai - Sab kuch hai. Yeh Superhit hai!!!
