This is my favourite album at the moment. I thought Will Mel be a success doing a solo album? and yes is the answer. Mel has come a long way since the Spice Girls first started, her voice has matured.
HOT is very much rnb, with a bit of soul and ballads, and it shows off Mels voice. This album is very much about her marriage break-up. There are 11 songs on this album:
Feels So Good - Good song, an upbeat song, something you can dance to.
Tell Me - Very good song, obviously written about her ex. husband, Jimmy. The line And all you loved was Mel Bs money says it all.
Hell No - Great vocals, and a bit of a love song.
Lullaby - A sweet song, written about her daughter, Phoenix Chi.
Hotter - A very sexy tune.
Step Inside - Great rnb tune with a bit of jazz mixed in, cool vocals.
ABC 123 - Another great rnb tune, good to sing along to.
I Believe - A chill out tune & its got great vibe. Also the echo effects are quite nice.
I Want You Back - Mels debut single recorded with the very talented Missy Elliott. Also a smash No. 1 hit.
Pack Your Sh!t - This has got lots of attitude and its a great rnb tune.
Feel Me Now - This is a slow song, this is the worst song on the album. This album is excellent, as is the production team including Max Beesley (Mel Bs boyfriend), Sisqo, Missy Elliott, and Teddy Riley (ex Blackstreet member).
My fav songs on the album are Hotter and I Believe, but I like all the songs, except the last one. I think this album is for anyone that likes the Spice Girls and rnb.
