I fly a lot..and have flown Air France Several times.
Air-France is an excellent airline offering services that can be compared to British Airways and Cathay.
I loved flying Air France. Allthough the seats were not comfortable enough, were pretty small, it depends upon the type of aircraft you are in. Sometimes when the flight is pretty much empty, and if they have seats in First Class, they would upgrade you for free upon request.
I did not face much problems while checking in with them. But, once when I reached Bombay, my bags were misplaced, all of them. I looked for them litreally ALL over Sahar Airport (Bbays Airport) like a dog sniffing for something. And yes, I found it in a bunch of Bags heading for Bangalore! I told the worker that it belongs to me, and he looked at it - the final destination was Mumbai.
He said it was totally his fault and that he was extremely sorry. If I filed a complain he would loose his joba dn he asked me not to. I felt sorry for him - and I let it go. Now the trouble was the other two bags were missing too. I was wondering if they were just misplaced like this.
After arguing for two hours with Air France Employees, I was told that my bag was coming in the next flight. You see the Indian guys like to ’lie’. I was told the next flight is coming in 4 hours - Dude I know more about flight schedules than anyone there. Anyways - the bag came after a week. I was paid taxi charges for getting them from the airport.
I think it was just a bad experience. But just stay alerted, this baggae loss how now become a routine. Like it has to happen!
PS: If you guys ever happen to loose your bag, there is a compensation for it that is provided by all airlines BY LAW, for each day it is delayed. So make sure you ask them about it. I do not remember the technical name, but I got fooled once, and I wont be fooled twice baby!
Give me a try Air France, and I will show ya! *wink
