I received my Cartier watch as a gift when I got married, in 1985.
My model is a Santos, slightly different from that in the picture, which I believe is a Tank.
It costs now about $1, 500 but it largely depends on the several types, automatic, woman/man, with gold, etc.
I must say that its one of the most beautiful watches I have seen, those that will never get out-of-date.
And moreover is very precise and works perfectly.
It was really worth the expense.
The only time when I had to repair it was when my first son threw it out of the window for a five floors fall.
I almost fainted...LOL
But the watch was still working, only the bracelet had a point to be replaced.
And now its still at my wrist, after 17 years, surviving 3 little, adorable pests, and always eye-catching.
A Cartier watch is really for life.
