I vividly remember this place being the first so called game cafe in the area, and soon becoming the talk of the town. Now, every other block has a cafe with board games, cards and books to keep group of people as well as solitary customer satisfied. But people dont go to cafes to play games or read books, or at least people who have stuff to do dont, so all these things are secondary, and whats the most important part is THE FOOD. So lets begin, by talking about their interiors, ambience and service and then moving on to the crucial part. The cafe is small and cozy, just like any other youd find in the vicinity( Is it cause of the high real estate prices in Ghatkopar? May be yes) . They have placed tables outside as well, which too gets occupied in the evenings. They house a good collection of board games and cards, as they should owning to the name of the eatery. The lighting is adequate, neither too dark, nor too bright with couple tables on one side and group seatings opposite to it. Interiors are simple, a transparent glass cabinet filled with coffee beans catches ones attention. Everything else is quite typical. Now we started of with their RED SAUCE and WHITE SAUCE PENNE PASTA. Both of them were quite good, with suitable quantity and 2 portions of yummy garlic bread. Red sauce had a nice tangy-spicy taste and a bit of cheese on top, while its white counterpart provided a creamy base flavour and appreciable taste of veggies. A bit over the price, but not too shabby.TRIPLE CHEESE MEXICAN PIZZA was next in our list and exceeded our expectations. Though the portion seemed a bit less, thats the case with everything yummy. The triple cheese used didnt overpower the taste of the pizza as a whole. They provided a nice, smooth and creamy texture to the pizza, almost had that melt-in-the-mouth feeling.Highly recommended.RED PAPRIKA PANEER POUTINE was bit over rated and not worth the capital you are puting in for it. It has french fries, with cream cheese, mayo, paneer cubes and red paprika all mixed up together. Paneer pieces were very blunt and did not have any flavour of their own. The fries along with mayo tasted much better.COTTAGE CHEESE SPECIAL ROLL was everyones favourite dish of the evening. Fluffy bread, generously topped with bell peppers, zucchini, bell peppers cheese and herbs. The blend of the cheese and paneer, along with the veggies gave a really good taste to it, and it should be on your To eat list from this place.KITKAT FREAKSHAKE had just emerged out as a new trend. The jar covered with thick chocolate, adding whipped cream and colourful sprinklers gave it a good contrast over the white cream. It looks highly appealing and its presentation is top class, but when you take first sip, it exponentially fails to live by your expectations. Plus, its not worth the price as well. This is not the case with this particular cafe but many places across the city. They put so much heart and soul on working on the freakshakes presentation that they tend to forget that its the shake that actually matters.BLUEBERRY WAFFLE was quite a good way to end our meals. The proportion is hefty, with 4 waffles topped with blueberry syrup, a bit of whipped cream and a small bowl of ice cream. It might be a bit too much for 2 people for desserts, but the freshly baked waffles and the rich & yummy syrup makes it finish before you know it. The waffles tends to get a bit dry towards the end, so I would suggest to increase the syrup or even better to provide a small portion of it on the sides. My verdict for this place is average. I had quite some expectations form here. The prices are a bit too high, and if you say that they are modest as compared to the locality then I will argue that the food should be improved as well. A couple of dishes were really good, but rest all of them were pretty standard. Being in a locality with 15 good food joints around, they need to improve a bit and then makes themselves stand out compared to the rest of them. Not bad, but can do much better.Happy Burping!
