Good Concept, Ridiculously Bad Service

Saw their advertisement in newspaper and thought of giving them a try. Ordered on 22nd April to be delivered on 23rd April. No delivery happened on 23rd so I lodged a complain by email on 24th April.


Still not got any reply. Tried their call centre number many times but to no avail. Finally got to talk to their CS Jigar, first he didn’t get the order details even on citing order number. Finally when he got details simply just apologised saying due to lot offers we are running short of delivery times. I said what about informing customers about the same or replying to email for which he had no answer.


He offered me that now delivery can happen only on 28th April that too during afternoon time slot. I said there are dozen of grocery shops besides my building, I just choose your service because of convenient time of delivery so this offer to deliver in afternoon doesn’t help us as both of us husband and wife are working and not available during day time. I had no option but to cancel order. Thankfully my order was for Cash on Delivery so it saved me the efforts of follow ups for a refund.


My recommendation strictly no for ekstop.com, and if you are going to try please only order on cash on delivery so even if your order doesn’t come it will save you lot of hassles of refund.


The concept is very good, and wish some big retailers like Big Bazaar, Reliance, D-Mart foray into this and start such service.


Till then happy local market shopping and no online for grocery and vegetables shopping.
