Phone with a lot of juice

LG V20 is a mobile phone model launched by LG in the year of 2016. The V series of LG was the first series to include wide angle cameras and dual cameras in phones.

It was the flagship brand by LG in the year 2016 and was praised a lot for the power it packed in such a stylish and durable design.

This phone has two displays, primary and secondary.Primary screen is a IPS quantum display 2560×1440 (513 ppi) and the secondary display is 160× 1040 gorilla glass 4. Both the screen combined is a 5.7 inch display and the overall weight of the phone is 174 gms. The phone has a removable battery and is a dual sim phone with expandable storage upto 2TB. It comes with the android 7 nougat with a 840 snapdragon processor along with 4 GB ram and 64 GB internal storage. It has three colour variants, Pink, Silver and my favorite Titan. It rocks a 3400 mAh battery. There are dual cameras on the rear with 16mp primary and 8 mp secondary (wide angle). It has a front camera of 5 mp with a software version option for a wide angle shot as well.

The overall experience of the phone has been positive. V20 can run all the new apps with acceptable load time and supports all the latest games with smooth graphics.

The battery life has decreased as the newer updates squeeze out more of it each time. The camera quality is amazing with an option of manual mode which allows more control over the camera and promotes the best out of it. The phone has a aluminium back with plastic sides which has held up pretty good for now. The phone looks sharp and elegant with all the aluminium shining. The secondary screen comes in handy when you get a hang of it. New OS update has been published for free and has increased the quality of user interface.

Now begins the slightly negative experience.

I had a few problems with this phone when it came to the default charger adaptor and cable provided. Both the adaptor and the cable had issues after some time of purchase. They took a lot of time to charge the phone. I replaced both the accessories with third party parts and since then it works just fine.

The battery drainage has increased as the apps have become more and more updated with respect to the phone.

The vibrator motor suddenly stopped working for 3 months and again started working on its own after that.

The network antennas are weaker compared to other phones and thus I currently face reception problems in locations with multiple floors.

All in all, I am happy with the phone, although I faced several minor issues. The phone holds up just fine to the latest phones when it comes to performance.

I hope this review helps, Thank you.
