Great Corrupt Netas

Today I was reading newspaper which was full of usual stuff about corrupt politicians and bureaucrats. I came across an article on Scorpene submarine deals. After Bofors and the dubious deals during the Kargil, this was the recent one of same genre. The defence deal which comprises of millions of rupees are full of many other hidden deals and Kickbacks which are facilitated by middle men.

The Scorpene Submarine deal came into picture after sensational expose by Outlook Magazine. It is alleged that the French company Thales had bribed the political leaders through a person Abhishek Verma who was a middleman for this deal. Abhishek Verma and his associates haven’t been arrested yet; even after the revelations about their wrongdoings by media. In this deal 4% of commission (that’s Rs 500 to 700 Crore) was distributed to the politicians and government babus for the smooth movement of deal. Opposition as usual created a furore and tried to politicize the matter for their own benefit…I don’t care what they blabber in front of TV cameras. But as a citizen of India I want to know where our hard earned money went. Defence Minister has refused to launch any Judicial probe against this and has assured that the deal will be cancelled if middleman are found in the transactions. But as far as my understanding goes…the deal is done…politicians and bureaucrats have got their money…and one more junk is ready to be piled in Indian Navy.

There hasn’t been any arrests for Bofors Scandal. Quatrochi was able to defreeze and remove his money from UK accounts….and Indian law enforcers kept watching this like a fool. What happened to the Kargil deals…where are the culprits? No one knows.

Moral of the story is, theres a big gang of robbers at top positions of our Government looting our nation of its wealth. Sooner or later we have to devise a method to throw these people out of power.
