Quick cheap needs some compromise

Me n my roomie were out shopping for our mid night snacks and for a change decided to follow all the aunties to the upstairs dal chawal etc section when we discovered a whole new section of d MTR and ashirwaad n d the kitchens of india ready to eat section! imagine our joy!!

...no more pondering over whr to get d next decent meal from ....no more screaming our guts out ’’chotu! thali lao!!’’ in d hostel mess...we felt like colombus having found india(so he thought)!

we picked up d sambar rice one priced at 18/- as specimen 1.headed back and I put on my rubber chappals n held it in my hot kettle for full 8-9 mins patienly, though d pack said only 5 min I kept my typically indian consumer behaiviour full on.

the tasting: well lets jus say like good wine and whisky it takes a bit of an acquired taste!...lol...well d first thing u feel is d unnatural grainy texture in your mouth and the tang of d sythetic flavours supposed to taste like tamarind ..i guess.also only veggies in there were potatoes which didnt quite come out cooked.

now we really felt like columbus realising we landed on d wrong freakin country!

but im stil going to try rajma rice n I think d kitchens of india series shud b better but il definitly giv all d south indian series a definite miss.
