I visited Ooty with family in the month of June. Ooty is a beautiful place and a must see place if you are in South india.
We were on a weekend trip to Ooty and hence decided to visit only the important places. We visited the following places -
Pykara Lake - Beautiful scenery all around the lake. Amazing view and can be visited while on the way to Ooty town from Bangalore.
Filmi Chakkar - Ya, its the name of a place. A famous spot for the Indian movie shoots. Its nothing but a long stretch of grassland. Nice view and must be visited. But its a little hilly place so be ready to walk a bit!
Ooty - Coonoor Train - It’s around an hour travel. Nice travel through scenic hills and clouds. But I would recommend dont take the tickets for both the ways. Plan only for one way, say Ooty - Coonoor and return from Coonoor in your own vehicle.
Coonoor tea estate and tea factory - Again a must visit place. I really liked to see how tea is prepared in a small factory. We could see the entire processing unit. Had a nice time.
Hotel Stay - Darshan Hotels, Opposite Ooty lake, Ooty

Overall a nice and memorable visit to Ooty and a must visit place I would say.
